2015 partial eclipse

On Friday 20th March 2015, we were lucky with the weather and able to see the partial solar eclipse as the shadow passed over the UK.

Students observed the Moon passing in front of the Sun safely using their pin hole cameras that they made in class or with solar eclipse glasses. The last total eclipse was on the 11th August 1999 over Cornwall and South Devon, and the next time the UK mainland will see the Sun fully hidden by the Moon is on the 23rd September 2090.
