During our first week of the new Autumn Term the school had a visit from Key Strings. The children learnt all about string instruments and the different periods of music, including Baroque and Romantic. We also heard pieces by different composers, such as Mozart and Saint-Saens. The school really enjoyed their visit which allowed some children to play the various string instruments. Our visitors also performed different genres of music and we even heard a sample of what might have been played in King Henry 8th castle! After, KS2 had a quiz to complete to see how much information they could remember. Well done to Joel Sheldon and Vithakshi Wickramatunga who both won prizes!
