Newsletter Summer Term 5
As we begin the final half of the Summer Term let’s hope we have some super weather. The children have all returned to school looking so smart and are a credit to you all.
1. History Focus Day
We had this on the last day and children were engaged looking at ‘Spier’ and the ‘Enigna’ code machine and cracked codes in Maths; they even made their own codes! It was an excellent day organised by Mrs Brown.
2. Poppy Memorial Competition
We have had some lovely entries to this competition that will be turned into an eye catching piece of art work for the A34. Mrs Barrow will be selecting winners shortly.
3. Behaviour Awards
On the last Friday we gave out our Diamond Behaviour Awards and an embossed book mark to children whose behaviour is exemplary. This was the majority of children who are wonderful role models. Some children have to work harder to achieve their next award and some children in all classes received the top award which is a wonderful achievement.
4. Eco Green Flag Award
Our school is applying for the ‘Eco Green Flag Award’. You can help by sending in any old batteries, ink cartridges and unwanted packets of seeds that you would like to recycle. We will recycle these for you! Children can bring them and put them in the labelled empty sweet jars in the library.
Eco tip: Remember not to leave the water running when you brush your teeth!
